DANDELION ORANGE SPICED DIGESTIVE BITTERS!!!

🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊🌻🍊

I am so excited to share this recipe I've been working on for digestive bitters! I have suffered on and off from INTENSE stomach pain over the years & needed to find a healthy long term solution.

🌿

After going back to school to study clinical nutrition & traditional naturalpathy I started changing my diet to include more vegetables and fruit- it was hard on my stomach! I often found myself not feeling well & having the intense stomach pains I've had so many times before.

🌿

That is, until I started taking bitters (along with a few other things, which I can tell you about at another time)! I started out buying bitters, but have recently started making my own to include herbs I truly believe in. I am also a big fan the healing power of using foraged plants & spending time in nature finding & connecting with the plants so I was very excited to include dandelion in this recipe!

🌿

Relieving stomach pain is just one of the many benefits of digestive bitters! It is also a wonderful way to help your liver, support healthy blood sugar levels, soothe heartburn, gas, bloating, obtain more nutrients from your food, support a healthy microbiome in your gut, curb sugar cravings, encourage digestive enzymes, bile & HCL production, soothe gas and bloating, calm upset stomach and nausea, increase absorption of fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, K & balance your appetite to name a few!

🌿

I am sharing the recipe for those of you are wanting to make your own, please try it and share your results on this page! I am so excited to hear others experiences using this! If you want to try them, but don't want to make your own, they are listed on my etsy page for a $7 donation that will go towards helping me get through school and support my family!

🍊🌻Dandelion Orange Spiced Digestive Bitters🌻🍊

1 & 1/2 cup white rum

3 tbs dried dandelion root and leaf (or 8 tbs fresh, chopped)

5 tbs fresh organic orange peel

2 tbs fresh ginger

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tbs dried marshmallow root

1 tbs dried licorice root

1 tbs cardamom or 6 cardamom pods

🌿

Place all herbs into a jar & fill with the alcohol. Shake daily for about 2 weeks. Then strain out the herbs with a cheese cloth. Be sure to give it a nice squeeze to get all the liquid out. You should end up with about 8 ounces & can put it into a glass dropper bottle.

🌿

I take one full dropper mixed with water about 20 minutes before eating.

🌿

There you have it! It's really so simple!! Please enjoy & feel free to contact me with any further questions!

🌿

Here's to your health! Have a wonderful day!

Ashley
