"Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate. But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond."

-Robin Wall

Think of all the amazing things the Earth does for us so we can live!

The trees collect the sun's light in their leaves & make oxygen for us to breathe. Gravity holds us tightly in it's embrace so we don't float away into space. We have water, materials for building shelters and staying warm through the cold winter months. We have nutritious, delicious food that grows abundantly in it's soil to sustain us. We have medicinal plants that cure and heal us when we need them.

Everything we have needed to survive has been provided by the Earth for us. Yet we are so disconnected from it that is easy to forget that nature remains so incredibly giving, even as it is depleted and treated as disposable without love or respect.

We can heal the Earth and ourselves together! I challenge you, myself and everyone on Earth, this spring and summer to take time to relish in nature. Let mother Earth revive you. Take time to get to know an herbal plant, forage it in the forest and make it into tea. Let that warm medicine sink into your bones as you drink it, knowing the Earth has gifted it to you. Plant a garden, or go to the farmers market and eat a fresh, juicy tomato, or sweet, crunchy sugar snap pea & delight in it's nourishment.

I know this deep connection to the Earth, whole, nourishing plant foods and herbal medicine is something we all need to heal and live vibrantly!! This is why it has become my life's mission and passion to help myself and others through natural health. It's all there for us. We are loved. By connecting with the Earth & all of its precious gifts we heal ourselves, but we also heal it. It is not a one way street, we need each other & together we can thrive! 💚

With love & gratitude, Ashley Meek
